| In 1987 David Zalyan founded the Yerevan State Junior Musical theatre and was appointed its creative director. According to the order of the RA ministry of culture, youth affairs and sport the Yerevan State Junior Musical Theatre was renamed State Musical Chamber Theatre and is its legal successor. /given in 21.07.97 N 255/. In those years were staged: V. Atchemyan ‘Kikos’ /opera/ S. Lusikyan ‘The dragon-fly and the ant’ /ballet/ P. Chaykovski ‘The seasons of the year’ /ballet/ B. Bitten ‘The ark of Noah’ /miracle opera/ L. Veber ‘The cats’ musical/ A. Satyan ‘Lilith’ /pop-opera/ and other performances.  David Hakobyan has been the director of the theatre since 2006. The hall of the State Musical Chamber Theatre can be rented for conferences, meetings and various events.The hall has 185 seats, the length of the stage is 10m, the width- 7m. It’s provided with light and voice equipments.
